Zeb Conley Shope Sr.

Zeb Conley Shope Sr. age 95 of Maryville passed away peacefully July 4, 2015. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during WWII and was awarded three Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart for his valiant service. He was retired from ALCOA Aluminum. He was a Christian man who taught adult Sunday School classes at both Monte Vista Baptist Church and Dotson Memorial Baptist Church for 60 years. He was a man of integrity and faith. Zeb was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Nora Crisp Shope, his son, David Timothy Shope. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Shope Webb; sons, Zeb Conley Shope Jr. and wife Carolyn, Steven Gary Shope and wife Patricia; he was a hero to his loving grandchildren, Miles, John and Natalie Shope, Michael Shope, Carrie Hall, and Amy Manning; 9 great-grandchildren, Beth, Haley, Ethan, Liam, Makyla, Morgan, Avalyn, Emmaline, and Major. The family will receive friends Tuesday July 7, 2015 from 12:00 to 1:00P.M. in the Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum a funeral service will follow at 1:00 with Rev. Bob Dalton officiating.
