Wilma Fugate Akers

AKERS, Wilma Fugate of Greenback, TN, passed away January 31, 2006, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was a member of Springview Baptist Church and a retired registered nurse, having graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing, Class of 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Branson Akers; her parents, Elisha and Jennie Fugate and two brothers, Earl and Don Fugate. She is survived by her son, Mark Akers of Greenback, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Richard Boyd and granddaughter, Jessica Boyd of Louisville, TN. Other survivors are sisters and brothers-in-law, Jimmie and Max Mize, Betty and Charles Taylor and sister, Mary McCall. Her surviving brothers and wives are Bob and June Fugate, Lon and Marjorie Fugate, Jerry and Mary Hazel Fugate, Mike and Sheila Fugate; sister-in-law, Linda Fugate. She is also survived by brother-in-law, J. R. Whaley of Knoxville, nephew, Jack Whaley and niece, Melissa Zachary. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home then proceed to Grandview Cemetery for a 12:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev.
