Wilma Allene Bolton Johnson

August 14, 1931 — July 18, 2012

Allene Johnson, passed away Wednesday, July 18, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby (Clarence) Johnson; son, Michael; great- grandson, Tyler Sellers; brother, David Bolton. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Don Gibbs, Sharon and Brian Painter; grandchildren, Melissa Valentine, Donna Hodges and Travis Painter; great grandchildren, Dakoda and Abby Sellers. Born in 1931 to Everett and Gladys Bolton in Claiborne County. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church were she enjoyed mission study, vacation Bible School, and Bible Study. Allene devoted much of her time as the family caregiver. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her interest included farming, gardening, Lady Vols and the Atlanta Braves. She was the bookkeeper for the family owned car lot and Paint and Body Shop. Her family and friends admired her strength, resilience, and faith. She was a people person, who never met a stranger. Special thanks to Dr. Bryan Thompson and the staff at Vandergriff Family Medicine and Blount Hospice. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
