Willis W. Moon

MOON, Willis W., age 80 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force and was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Moon; sons, Harvey James Moon and Billy Lamar Moon. Survivors include his daughter, Sherry Gibson of Maryville; grandchildren, Marcelle Gibson of Alexandria, VA, Matthew Moon and Christopher Moon both of Maryville; one great grandson, Joseph Matthew Dirsa; sisters, Alice Moon of Harrison, TN and Helen Scealf of Chattanooga; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Judith Duvall officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, TN. It was his wishes to have his ashes dispersed over the waters of Vieques Island, Puerto Rico, along with the ashes of his son Billy.
