HURST, William Verloes, age 81 of Maryville, passed away Monday, May 14, 2007, at Asbury Place. He was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II, was active in the Rescue Squad in the 1970's and was retired from ALCOA. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Hurst. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hurst; daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Ted Adkins of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Joan Hurst of Friendsville; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Tom Burchfield of Thompson, GA; grandsons, Jason “Candace” Burchfield of GA, Morgan Hurst of Maryville; sisters, Edith Ogle of Walland, Gerri Lowe and husband Fred of Maryville, sister-in-law, Bea England of VA; brother-in-law, Ray Morgan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ken and Shirley Morgan, James and Delores Morgan; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Sunderland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Clark’s Grove Cemetery for the interment service.
