William Rhea (Bill) Crowder

William Rhea (Bill) Crowder, 62 of Maryville, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011. He graduated from Alcoa High School and attended Hiwassee College. He served 10 years in the Navy aboard the USS Lexington. He was employed at the Knox County Health Department in the Dental Clinic. His last employment was as a CNA at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lucile Crowder. He is survived by two sons, Joe Don and David Michael Crowder; grandchildren, Ty, Joshua, and Josie Marie; aunts, Ruth Richards and Rachael Walker; several cousins. Bill was blessed with many friends who have been very supportive of him including Gail and Mike Burris, Debbie and Dennis Casey, Kathy Hillard, Barbrey Parker, Sharon Wiley. A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 26, at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 920 Cherokee Street, Maryville.
