William Ray Henry

William Ray Henry, 91 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011, at Asbury Place Healthcare in Maryville. He was born July 14, 1920, in Maryville, TN, and is preceded in death by mother, Mary Jane Nicely Henry and father, William Horace Henry. Bill retired from Alcoa, Inc. in 1982 as Benefits Coordinator with 41 years of service. He was a dedicated servant of the Lord and a loyal member of First Baptist Church of Maryville since 1940, and a member of the New Beginnings Sunday School Class. He is survived by cousins: Kay Bateman, Kenny Coulter, Sue Terry, Bob Nance, and John Nance; and special friends, Steve Radford, Eugene and Wilma Garren, Neil and Becky Rhodes, Judy and Larry Effler, Beverly Coleman, Jack Howard, Lebanon, TN, and George Carpenter, Greensboro, NC. Special thanks to all the caregivers on 2-South and 2-North at Asbury Place Healthcare and to the Blount Memorial Hospice nurses. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Stinnett officiating and special music provided by Steve Radford. The family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery, following the funeral service, for the interment. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
