William R (Bill) Sadler 79 of Maryville died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at his home. Born in Decatur, IL, retired from Florida Public Utilities. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Harriet Sadler, Brother James Sadler, Sister Ida Morris, Grandson Jeremy William Sadler, Great Grandson Brady Cole Riden. Survived by his wife of 50 years Dorothy J Ridge Sadler, Brother’s Bennie Sadler of Maryville, Samuel (Melinda) Sadler of Frankfort IL., Sisters Edith Phillips of Ocala, FL, Sarah Casseday of Citra, FL. and Sue (Hal) Vugetveen of Gainesville, FL, Children; Patricia (J.D.) Knott of Mt. Vernon, IL,, Richard (Jeanie) Sadler of Mt. Veron, Nancy Lappas of Johnson City TN, Joseph Sadler of Las Vegas, NV, Xon “Rocky†Sadler of Phoenix, AZ., Teresa (Glenn) Palm Maryville, TN., Billie Sadler and Fiancé Robert Jackson of Maryville, Sundie (Rodney) Love of West Palm Beach, FL., Dwain (Libby) Sadler of Maryville, TN., Tom (Brandy) Sadler of Jacksonville, FL., 25 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A 52 year member of Masonic Lodge, also, a member of the New Providence Lodge # 128 Maryville, TN and a member of Scottish Rite of Knoxville and member of Karbala Shrine Temple of Knoxville. Bill was a respected country music entertainer who had his own T.V. Show in Chicago – with Curley Barrix and knew many entertainers such as Willie Nelson, Waylen Jennings and Johnny Cash. He owned his own night club in Chicago; several local entertainers played for him in his band the “Twilight Ramblersâ€. He wrote-sold-and recorded many songs. Later years he had many other successful business adventures that, included; Sadler’s Patio Lawn and Garden in Salem IL, and was a Locksmith, Bee Keeper and raised show dogs and loved to garden. He helped many people along the way in many fields of life. He always had a joke for anyone and was special to everyone –He loved life. A Masonic Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel followed by funeral services with Rev. Ronnie Thomas officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Williamson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
