William M. (Bill) Kerr, 70, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, February 21, with his loving family and friends by his side. He was a member of Carpenters United Methodist Church and attended Oakland United Methodist Church. Bill was a graduate of Lanier High School and a proud Vietnam Veteran. He retired from Caterpillar in Joliet, IL in 2001 after 35 years of service. Bill was an avid NASCAR fan, fisherman, hunter and loved his home on the lake. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Frank (Skinny) and Helen (Gibson) Kerr. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Sandra, Little Ernie; brother, Rusty (Ginger) Kerr; stepchildren, Chuck (Julie) Sprandel, Candy (Dale) McWilliams, Brandie (Tommy) Catlin, all of IL and Cass (Darin) Plotts of Maryville; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; special cousin, Patsy Meyer and special friends, Mack and Mattie Hall and Charles and Shelby Abbott. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clifton Hearon and Rev. Stephen K. Yeaney officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Carpenters Campground Cemetery with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
