William Lonzo Lindsey

April 19, 1924 — April 18, 2013

William Lonzo Lindsey passed away on April 18, 2013, the day before his 89th birthday. He was born April 19, 1924 to his parents, William Horace and Florence Lindsey, who preceded him in death. His wife of 59 years Betty Crisp Lindsey passed away in November 2001. Also preceding him in death were brothers, Virgil, Horace and Floyd; sisters, Margaret Dennis and Gladys Williams. He is survived by his two sons, William E. (Bill) Lindsey and wife June Lindsey and Gary Lindsey and wife JoAnn Lindsey and his sister, Eula Bea Allison. Also surviving are grandchildren, Cissy Garner and husband Mark, Danika Bull and husband Byron, Deanna Glandon; great-grandchildren, DJ Hurst, Adam and Josh Price, Maddie and Liam Spivey, Nathan and Brooke Glandon; great great granddaughter, Rachel McTaggart; a host of nieces and nephews. He was a member of Third Street Baptist Church in Maryville. He has lived his entire life in Blount County. He retired from the White Stores after 35 years. His life was consumed with his love for his family and the Lord. He lived his life for the Lord and read his Bible daily. We will deeply miss his loving prayers at our family gatherings. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Hickman officiating. The interment will follow at Laurel Banks Cemetery.
