William Harlan Crumpton

William Harlan Crumpton, age 88 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member and Sunday School teacher at Forest Hill Baptist Church and spent his adult life hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Cleora Crumpton; brother, Thad Crumpton, sister, Meredith Hendricks; granddaughter, Joni Leah Crumpton. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mildred Bell Crumpton; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Lee Davis; son, Doug Crumpton; 4 step grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
