William F. Willis

William F. Willis, age 89 of Friendsville, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Parkwest Medical Center. Bill was a man of generous spirit and great humor. He began his career with TVA in 1960 and by 1979 he was named general manager. He retired in 1993. His last job, from 1991-93, was that of executive vice president, general manager, and chief operations officer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Sue Willis; infant son, William Michael Willis; brother, John Douglas Willis, father and mother, William Douglas and Lucille Willis.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, John and Karen Willis, Randy and Jan Willis; daughter, Suzanne and Gene Walker; grandchildren, Carol Ann Adamson and husband Ryan; Michael Hobbs and wife Samantha, Kenny Crafton, Carter Crafton and wife Florencia, Jupiter Willis, Sarah Willis; great grandchildren, Eleanor Adamson, George Adamson, and Aurora Hobbs.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and the service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Magan Stubblefield and Rev. Doug Kellum officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Middlesettlements United Methodist Church Cemetery.
