William Douglas Campbell, age 75 of Walland, was called home on March 20th, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Bobbie Lou Gilbert Campbell; infant daughter, Andrea Jewel Campbell; parents Elmo and Mary Campbell; and sister, Martha Eleanor Crisp. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Rhonda Campbell and Gilbert and Jennifer Campbell; grandchildren, Kristin and Adrian Womac, Christopher Campbell and fianc Hannah Vagnier, Grant Campbell; great-granddaughter Savannah Womac; brother Greenville Bud Campbell; sisters and brothers-in-law Mary Lynn and Jack Millsaps and Delores and David Gilreath; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Douglas was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company where he worked over 30 years, and made many lifelong friends. He was a sports enthusiast, and known by many as Coach. His sense of humor was one of a kind, and will be missed by all who knew him. Douglas was also a devoted member of Cold Springs Missionary Baptist Church, and a faithful Christian. Receiving of friends will be held Friday, March 23rd, from 5-7 pm at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with funeral service to follow with Rev. Jeff Hickman and Rev. Rex Everett officiating. Burial service will be held Saturday, March 24th, at 11:00 am at Cold Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Walland. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Cold Springs Missionary Baptist Church Youth, or the Gideons.
