William "Bill" W. Lewellyn

William Winford Lewellyn , age 96, of Greenback, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018. Born December 19, 1921 in Sevier County, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by mother Seena Katherine Scarbrough Lewellyn Fagg, father Walter Lewellyn, step-father Frank Fagg, sister Betty Griffin, brother Joe Lewellyn, son-in-law Guy Walker, and daughter-in-law Kaye Lewellyn. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Evelyn Petree Lewellyn, daughter Rachel Evelyn Walker, sons William Walter Lewellyn (Bettye) and Robert Isaac Lewellyn, grandchildren Melissa Walker (Charles Reback), Michelle Kennedy (Steve), Andy Lewellyn (Michele), Angie Smith (Mitch), Jessica Speaker (Chuck), Michael Lewellyn (Stefanye), Will Lewellyn (April), Aurora Wells, and six great-grandchildren with one on the way. During World War II, he served the US Navy in the Pacific on the USS Rombach DE 364. A retired machinist at ALCOA, he was a member of Greenback Memorial Baptist Church. He served as music director at several Baptist churches. The family will receive friends on October 2, 3:00 to 4:30 PM at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home followed by a service at 4:30 PM with Rev. Lon Shockley and Rev. Dr. Clarence Sexton officiating. Burial to follow at Clarks Grove Cemetery. The family would like to thank Sharon and Patricia from Home Instead Senior Care, the staff at the Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans Home and Blount Memorial Hospital for their loving care of our dad.
