Wilbur Olin Lane

Wilbur Olin Lane, 71, of Maryville, died January 5, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital with his wife and children at his side. He was retired from Alcoa and a 25 Year Club member. He was a US Navy veteran having served as a Sea Bee in Guam. After an industrial accident in 1984 he was left a paraplegic. He never complained and faced his handicap with grace, dignity, and perseverance. He had a deep love and respect for nature and all living creatures. Olin was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Flora Hearon Lane, his nephew, Stacy Lane, sister-in-law, Arbutus Lane, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marshall A. and Mary C. Stinnett, brothers-in-law, Wayne and Buddy Stinnett and sister-in-law, Judy Stinnett Young. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda S. Lane, daughter, Kim Lane Reiordan and husband Bill, son, Marshall Lane and wife Jennifer and granddaughters, Emily Lane and Carlin Reiordan. He is also survived by his brothers, JT Lane and wife Ruth Mayford Lane, Ray Lane and wife Dorothy, Jack Lane and wife Pam. He also opened his heart to other ''grandchildren'' that include Stephanie Yeap and the Haun girls, Bonnie, Tina, Cindy, Linda and her children, Blake and Chloie, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill White and Rev. Danny Davis officiating. The interment will follow in Middlesettlements Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
