Wendell B. Huffstetler

Wendell Burl Huffstetler, age 80, passed away at home on November 29, 2017 after a six month battle with cancer. He was a member of Clover Hill Presbyterian Church. He retired with 36 years of service with Blount County Board of Education. He was preceded in death by infant grandson, Davis Berry; parents, Burl and Lucile Huffstetler; brother, David Huffstetler. He is survived by wife of 60 years, Laura Brown Huffstetler; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Archie Berry of Maryville and Leigh Ann and Tim Thurman of Greenville, SC; granddaughters, Maggie and Meggan Berry and Eva Thurman; sisters-in-law, Anna Huffstetler and Blanche Hedrick. The family would like to thank the staff at Amedisys Hospice for all their loving care. The interment will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Clover Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery with a memorial service to immediately follow in the Church with Rev. Roy Scarbrough and Rev. Tom Gilliland officiating. The family will receive friends following the service or friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
