Wanda Roddy Dial, age 74, of Friendsville passed away peacefully March 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Wanda’s life was simple; she a follower of Chirst, a devoted member of her church and she loved her family more than life itself. She was a member of Kagley’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she served faithfully and was involved with numerous church committees. Outside of church, she enjoyed a very successful and rewarding career of 38 years at Tennessee Valley Authority. Over her life and professional career, she enjoyed many titles; but there’s nothing she cherished more than being called “Nonie” to her four grandsons. If she wasn’t at church, you knew she was at the ballfield. Nothing made her happier than to run between Maryville and Knoxville to watch her boys play ball. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Georgia Roddy; aunt, Pauline Kagley.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Dial; son, Travis Dial (Angie); daughter, Amanda Regas (Matt); grandchildren, Landon and Houston Dial, Bennett and Harrison Regas; brother, Ron Roddy (Karen); nephews, Jason Roddy and Nick Roddy (Katy); many great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 PM, Monday, March 14, 2022, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and the funeral to follow at 2:00 PM with Dr. Morris Anderson and Rev. Clifton Hearon officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Kagley’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to Kagley’s Chapel Baptist Church WMU (Women’s Missionary Union), 1120 Huffstetler Road, Maryville, TN 37803.
