Wanda Ilene (Garner) Arms, 87, of Maryville, passed away June 6, 2018, in Maryville, Tennessee. Wanda was born in Thomasboro, Illinois to Preston and Millie Garner, both deceased, on April 20, 1931. She worked as a nurses aide for a number of years. She and her husband, Tom of 64 years, owned and operated the two KFC stores in Maryville for 22 years. They also owned Ham'N Goodys, The Country Kitchen, and a water bed store. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Arms, her parents, Preston and Millie; two sisters, Doris Fox and Gloria Perry and two brothers, Lyle Garner and Bruce Garner. Wanda is survived by her three daughters, Sherry Knox of Knoxville, Lana Arms of Atlanta, GA, and Tina Boring and husband Mark, of Maryville; her grandson, Tony Knox of San Francisco, CA; granddaughter, Melissa Graves and husband Mitch of Wylie, TX. She is also survived by her brother, Wayne Garner and wife Jerrie of Maryville; her brother, Jerry Garner and wife Ann, of Maryville; close family friend, Jennifer Gregory of Knoxville. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Michael W. Parker of New Hope Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Clark's Grove Cemetery In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pat Summitt Clinic, 1932 Alcoa Hwy., U. T. Medical Center Building C, Suite 150, Knoxville, TN 37920.
