W. Woodrow Campbell

W. Woodrow Campbell -age 87 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the family home. He was a member of Rocky Branch Bethel Baptist Church, Alcoa 25 year club, and a veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific in the 7th Amphibious Naval Force. He spent many hours restoring Cushman Scooters and antique cars. Preceded in death by his wife, Vondell Campbell; son, Woody Campbell Jr. Survivors include his children, Judy McCaulley and husband Sonny, Ron Campbell and wife Margie, Gayle Carroll and husband Gene, Rex Campbell, Ricky Campbell and wife Shirley, Connie Whitehead, Donnie Campbell and wife Deanie, Pam Hammel; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; sister, Florence Mathews; several nieces and nephews. Special care giver, Tammy Tipton. Loving friends, Linda Campbell. Funeral services will be 8:00 pm Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Don Woody and Rev. Barry Woods officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:00 am Wednesday at Rocky Branch Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The family would like to give a special thanks to the loving care shown by his many friends.
