W. Frank Pierce, age 82 of Friendsville, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at home. He was a member of Big Springs Presbyterian Church and was a retired Security Guard for ALCOA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Betty Rowland Pierce; daughter, Judy Hall; parents, Floyd and Bardia Coulter Pierce. Survivors include his daughter, Carol Oliver and husband David; son-in-law, Jerry Hall; grandchildren, Jay Hall and wife Rachel, Jill Ridings and husband Andrew, Kelli Carver and husband Ted, Christi Oliver and Josh Oliver; great-grandchildren, Ruth Hall, John Ridings and Trey Carver; brothers-in-law, Robert "Mutt" Rowland and wife Mary and Buddy Settlemire; as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. Also, special caregiver, Penny Robinson. Many special friends that would sit and visit on the front porch or honk and wave each time they drove by. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Big Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Charles Bailey and Rev. Roy Scarbrough officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
