Von Darnell Chance, Jr.

Von Darnell Chance, Jr passed away February 15, 2022, after an extended illness. He was a graduate of TN Wesleyan College, and received his Master’s Degree from Candler University School of Theology, Master’s Degree in Music History from UT, and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from UT. He retired from TN Wesleyan College in 2008, where he taught music history, choral conducting, and directed choirs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jane Ellen Henson Chance and Von Darnell Chance, Sr, grandparents Paulette and Ernest Henson, and John and Zelma Chance.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Chance, her children, Mary Grace Taylor (Ben), Patrick Morgan (Emily), and Laura Morgan (Christopher) and 5 grandchildren, Nora, Violet and Charlie Taylor and Bradley and Evelyn Morgan. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Chance (Regina), and nieces, Jennifer Hall (Mitch) and Julia Chance.
