Virginia Riddle Hall, age 92, of Maryville, passed away, Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 8, 1922 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Julian Barker Riddle and Laura Irene Garner Riddle, who both preceded her in death. She had siblings, Julia Theresa Riddle, William Wakefield Garner Riddle, and Julian Marie Riddle, who preceded her in death. Virginia married Marion Trufant Hall and had three children; Susan Hall Ambler, Alan Lee Hall, who is deceased, and John Lane Hall. She had grandchildren, Joseph Alan Ambler, Louisa Marie Hall, and Curtis Alan Hall and great grandchildren, Marion Therese Ambler, and Ava Sophia Ambler. Robert Steven Ambler, Lisa Anne Moline, and Carly Covic Ambler are special in-laws who will miss her dearly. Virginia had special talents in organizing people and things. She was employed as an administrative assistant for several organizations including the Peace Corps at University of Oklahoma and North Central College in Naperville, IL. She conducted extensive research of family genealogical history, learned to weave, collected antiques, and was an accomplished equestrian. More than anything, however, she loved and cared for her family. A memorial service will take place on August 16 at 3:00 pm at Highland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Billy Newton officiating. Interment will take place at Naperville, Illinois Cemetery.
