AMMONS, Virginia P. “Benny”, age 84 of Louisville, passed away Friday, February 23, 2007, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was a member of Middlesettlements United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nellie Belle Starnes Pate; brothers, Frank, Kenneth and John Pate; sister, Allene Dale. Benny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor. She was an avid gardener and lover of flowers. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Harold E. Ammons; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold E. II and Rachel Ammons, Robert Shawn and Sandra Ammons all of Louisville; son, Allen Maxwell Ammons of Louisville; daughter and son-in-law, Tana and Bruce Rudder of Knoxville; daughter, Zoe Ann Ammons of Knoxville; special adopted daughter, Pat Lukosius; grandchildren, Boone Rudder, Nathan Rudder, Bethany Ammons Weatherly and husband Josh, Brittany Ammons, Brianna Ammons; step grandchild, Scott Underwood and wife Heather. Funeral services will be 4:00 P.M. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Black officiating. Family and friends will meet 2:00 P.M. Monday at Middlesettlements Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 til 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
