Victoria Isabelle Vanderpool passed sweetly from this world on May 31, 2012. She was born and raised in Sumrall, Mississippi. Vickie met and married her husband Larry while he was stationed at Camp Shelby, Mississippi during World War II. They were married 68 years. After the war, they moved to Wyalusing, PA where they lived and worked for 40 plus years. They left a lot of dear friends when they moved to Maryville, TN to be near their daughter due to Vickies health 27 years ago. Vickie was a member of Sylvania Womens Club, GTP Quarter Century Club, worked 25 years for Global GTP (Sylvania), member Fairview United Methodist Church and attended the Barlett Program at New Providence Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Blount County DAR. A beautiful Southern Lady inside and out. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, also a wonderful friend and neighbor. Always cooking and baking for her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence (Larry) Vanderpool; grandson, Nathan Vanderpool; parents, Bishop and Amanda Mae (Harrill) Rutledge; sisters, Catherine (Tip) Miller; Mary Alma (Leroy) Keller, Geneva (Toxie) Miller. Survivors include her daughter, Sondra V. Waggoner; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Doris Vanderpool; brother, Bill Rutledge; grandchildren, Christopher and Kathy Ferguson, Vashon and Rebecca Ferguson, Chester Vanderpool, Karen and Dave Bartee, Kristen and Al Orach; great grandchildren, Haley Victoria Ferguson, Emma R. Ferguson, Grace C. Ferguson, Madeline Victoria Ferguson, Josh Orach, Ruby, Trevor, and Spencer Bartee; many beloved nieces and nephews; special devoted friends, Ewellette and David Thresher, Pat and Garfield McCarter; caregiver, Jill Hill. A Celebration of Life will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating. The interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
