Vestal Lee "Cubbie" Pilkington

Vestal Lee “Cubbie” Pilkington, age 93, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023, with his family by his side. He entered the gates of Glory, to be with his Lord and Savior forever. He loved his family, the Lord and his church family. He loved gospel music and sitting and talking with family and friends. He retired from Operating Engineers as a heavy equipment operator. Both of his sons have followed in his footsteps. He was a very unique daddy. We loved him so much and always trusted his advice. He loved his family unconditionally. He was an avid farmer, worked hard, and accomplished so much in his lifetime. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Esta (Millsaps) Pilkington; son, Randall Pilkington; brothers, Ray and Herman Pilkington; sisters, Rosetta Pilkington and Lula Johnson; step grandson, Todd Lovingood. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 69 years, Unav (Cooper) Pilkington; son, Jeff (Stella) Pilkington; daughter, Susan (Jackie) Lovingood; sisters, Lois Millsaps, Beulah Palmer, Irene Deaton; half- brother, Luther Pilkington sisters-in-law, Margaret Pilkington and Sue Pilkington. He also leaves behind 8 grandkids, 15 great-grandkids, and 1 great-great granddaughter; a host of nieces and nephews. The family will be at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Monday, April 10, 2023, from 11:00-12:30 PM with procession to follow to Grandview Cemetery for 1:00 PM graveside services with Rev.
