Troy Ward

Troy Ward, age 87 (8/9/32), passed away peacefully at Blount Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family on December 21, 2019. He enjoyed watching Monday Night Wrestling and eating his BLT Sandwich at Cracker Barrel several times a week. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Sadie Ward; siblings, Mildred Sherlin, Marie Whitehead, Margaret Sands, Gene Ward, Mayford Ward, Ernest Ward; grandson, Eric Ward.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Katherine Ward; his children, son, Dewayne Ward and wife Suzanne; daughter, Teresa Kerr and husband Terry; son, Jeff Ward and wife Charity; grandchildren, Stephanie and husband Matt Hearon, Dustin Ward, Taylor and Alyssa Ward, Cody Ward and wife Kayla; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Lydia, Elijah, Scarlett.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2019 with the funeral to follow with the Rev. Clifton Hearon officiating. Family and friends will meet for the interment at 11:00 AM, Saturday at Grandview Cemetery.
