Tom Stephens, age 92 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served during World War II, retired from ALCOA after 28 years of service and a member of the 25 Year Service Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Addie Barker Stephens; brothers, Robert Stephens, Max Stephens, and infant brother, Earl Stephens; sisters, Mary Waters, Maudie Eisenhower, Myrtle McMahan; several other family members. Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell and Helen Stephens, J. R. and Rosemary Stephens all of Maryville; sister, Mae Bryant of Ten Mile, TN; sister-in-law, Ruth Stephens of Maryville; several nieces and nephews; several other family members; caregivers, Mike Stephens and Edith Hutton. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Brown officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery for the interment service.
