Thomas Edward Walker

Thomas Edward Walker, age 65 of Maryville, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Tom was a proud native of Maryville, a Maryville High School and University of Tennessee Alumnus and a devoted sports fan of both schools. He was employed by Oak Ridge Y12 National Security Complex for 32 years as a Radiological Control Technician. He was an accomplished story teller who entertained and amused his friends to his and their delight. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond E. and Ruth Shirley Walker and a younger brother. Survivors include close friends, Becky Gibson of Maryville, Harold Toppins of Powell and Tim Denton of Lenoir City and many other friends. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating.
