Terry F. Huffstetler

Terry F. Huffstetler, age 84 of Maryville, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a lifetime member of Carpenters Campground United Methodist Church where he served as church treasurer, trustee and choir member. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during the Korean War, he was on the Fort Loudon electric Co-op Board of Directors, Fenders Antique Tractor and Engine Club, member of Cades Cove Preservation Association (CCPA), charter member of Blount County Historical Society and member of Young Farmers and Homemakers. He mapped Carpenters Campground Cemetery, Bakers Creek Cemetery (Director) and Mount Pleasant Cemetery. He was a carpenter by trade who enjoyed music, traveling, woodworking, and making dulcimers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred A. and Elizabeth (Johnson) Huffstetler; sibling, Jerry G. Huffstetler; mother-in-law, Alene Blevins; father-in-law, Glen Blevins; brothers-in-law, Fred Blevins, Edgar Blevins, Raymond Hitson, Daris Richesin; nieces, Susan Boling, Tajuana Blevins. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen Blevins Huffstetler; siblings, Dwight (Joan) Huffstetler, Loretta (Rev. Larry) Best, Brenda (J.D.) Millsaps, Mary Alice Richesin; 16 nieces and nephews; special friends, Frank and Norma Kidd, Mike, Amy and Mackenzie Kirkland. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Peggy Meade, Rev. Larry Best and Rev. Kenny Tucker officiating. The interment will follow at Carpenters Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
