Tennie Beeler Watkins

October 18, 1918 — November 9, 2010

Tennie Beeler Watkins, age 92 of Alcoa, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She grew up in Claiborne County and later moved to Knox County. She was a longtime member of Laurel Bank Baptist Church and current member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl D. Watkins; granddaughter, Suzanne Fox; parents, Thomas Grant and Sally Jennings Beeler. Survivors include her son, James Grant Watkins and wife Cindy of Maryville; daughter, Earlene Garrett and husband John of Macon, GA; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Parker officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Bank Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment service.
