Sonja Morton Broyles, age 78, passed away peacefully at MorningView Assisted Living on May 8, 2016. She was a graduate of Maryville High School and later received her Paralegal Certificate from UT. She was an Administrative Assistant to the General Counsel at TVA. She retired from TVA in July 2010, after 34 years of faithful service. After retiring, she volunteered at the Chilhowee Baptist Center until she was unable to work due to dementia. Sonja was a member of Central Point Baptist Church of Rockford. She loved her church family and most of all she loved her LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. She lived her life anxiously awaiting to meet HIM face-to-face! She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond L. Morton; mother, Reva D. Morton; and sister Theresa Morton Cromwell. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Keeble and son-in-law John T. Keeble, Jr., of Walland; her love of 27 years, Don Whitehead of Walland; granddaughter, Holly (& Ryan) Hill; grandson, Sy Keeble; brother Lynn "Bud" Morton of Louisville; niece, Julie Chambers, and nephews, Clay Cromwell, James Morton and Mace Morton; and faithful caregiver and friend, Javonna Cooper of Maryville. Her Celebration of Life will be at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12 at Central Point Baptist Church, Rockford, TN, with receiving of friends to follow. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 13, at Middlesettlements United Methodist Church in Louisville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Point Baptist Church Debt Retirement.
