Sonia Byrd

Sonia Byrd, age 95, of Knoxville, formerly of Alcoa passed away September 11, 2022, at Park West Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Pearl Ellis. She was the oldest daughter of eight children.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Becky Byrd; grandson, Christopher Byrd; brother, Claude Ellis, Jr.; many nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sonia’s name may be made to Rockford Elementary Benevolence Fund, 3728 Williams Mill Rd., Rockford, TN 37853.
