Shirley Pendleton Lambert

LAMBERT, Shirley Pendleton passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at her home in Bristol, VA. She was a very loving mother and long time resident of Maryville, TN. She was a member of Pecks United Methodist Church. She spent most of her life in Maryville, graduated from Maryville City Schools and attended UT, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and served as a past president of K.D. Alumni Association. A long time member of the Blount County Republican Executive Committee and Republican Women’s Club. She was employed by Maryville City Schools and Tenn Dept. of Human Services and Maryville district office manager for U. S. Rep. John J. Duncan, Sr. and John J. Duncan, Jr. for 21 years. She retired January 1, 1994. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and C. R. Doc Pendleton; daughter, Libby Lambert and former husband, Bob Lambert. She is survived by her son, Robbie and Elizabeth Lambert of Chilhowie, VA, and son, Ric and Debbie Lambert of Bristol, VA; grandchildren, Rocky and Robin Lambert of Maryville and Nicholas, Lauren, and Ryan Lambert of Bristol, VA; 3 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Howard Stickell of Germantown, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Leon Berrong; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lee and Helen Lambert of Maryville; and J.K. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
