Sarah Alice Boring

October 11, 1929 — February 20, 2020

Sarah Alice Patterson Boring, 90, of Maryville, passed away February 20, 2020, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was born to the late Henry Grady and Elsie Mae Lee Patterson on October 11, 1929, in Alcoa, Tennessee. She was married to the late Marvin L. Boring. Sarah Alice was predeceased by her husband in 1990.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Sarah Jane and Wallace Roberts of Maryville; Deborah and Russ Covington of Maryville; Michael R. Boring of Gatlinburg; and Danny L. Boring of Knoxville. She is also survived by four grandchildren and their spouses: Brentley Roberts (Whitney); Sarah Elizabeth Laurenzi (Justin); Kara Elizabeth Smith (Stanton); and Thomas Kleppe (Kim). She is predeceased by granddaughter Holly Mae Boring. In addition, she is survived by eleven great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings include Blanche Patterson Clevenger and Judith Patterson Nolan. Predeceased siblings include Clarence Patterson, Dorothy Patterson Mills, and Jackson Patterson.

A viewing will be available Saturday-Monday between the hours of 8:00 AM-5:00 PM at the funeral home. A family graveside funeral service is planned. Receiving of friends will take place Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 PM at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maryville City Schools Foundation or Blount County Education Foundation.

Sarah Alice was immensely proud of her family. Nothing made her beautiful smile even more radiant than a visiting family member. A family is a circle of love, not broken by loss, but made stronger by memories. She leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. We are forever thankful for God’s blessing of Sarah Alice Boring.
