Samuel Rex Everett, 82 years old and Blount County native passed away on April 27, 2024. He was preceded in death by son Joshua Rex Everett; father and mother Bill and Ada Everett; sister Trula Arnett; father-in-law and mother-in-law Floyd and Myrtle Henderson. Survived by wife of 60 years, Joyce Everett; grandchildren Callie, Andy (Chloe), and Hannah Everett; great granddaughter Brynnleigh; brother Rick (Ferlanda) Everett; niece Gail (Ronnie) Alexander; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Steve and Verna Henderson; close family friend Heather (Danny) Davis; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Rex was a devoted Christian and daily bible reader. He was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. He served several Baptist Churches in Blount County as deacon and song leader. He retired as a construction supervisor from KCDC in Knoxville, TN. He will be greatly missed, and his memory will be cherished until we meet again. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, with the service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Chris Pass officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Piney Level Cemetery for the interment.
