Samuel Raymond Martin Jr.

Samuel Raymond Martin, Jr., of Maryville passed away Saturday, August 19, 2006, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Born January 15, 1944, in Roanoke, Virginia, he taught school for 33 years and retired from the Blount County School System. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Rockford Masonic Lodge #469, and was a past patron of Martha Washington Chapter #231, Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include wife, Glenda Sing Martin; daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and David Luck and Emily and Jeff Krumm; grandsons, Joshua and Jonathan Luck; and sister, Norma Hicks of San Diego, California. Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Dr. John Franklin officiating. The interment will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, 982-6812.
