Sallie Cordelia Mobley Bradley, born January 22, 1929 in Camden, South Carolina died Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Asbury Place. She was a devoted military wife to her husband Msgt. Luke C. Bradley, Jr. during his service with the United States Air Force. She lived a quiet reserved life and although she was soft-spoken, she had the strength of steel. At the age of 10, she was baptized in Saluda Baptist Church in Chappells, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents John Smith Mobley, Sr. and Mary Ella Mickle Mobley; a brother Edward P. Mobley; several sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-law. Survivors include her husband and sweetheart of 64 years, Luke C. Bradley, Jr.; sons John M. Bradley and fiancée Brenda Williams of Williamsburg, VA; Mike (Cathy) Bradley of Wake Forest, NC; Joe (Terry) Bradley of Maryville; grandchildren, Lance (Kelly) Bradley of Wake Forest, NC; Jennifer “Jenny†Bradley, of Raleigh, NC; Erin (Lee) Meeks of Morehead City, NC; great grandchildren, Lance Bradley II and Summer Bradley of Wake Forest, NC; brother, John “Jack†Smith (Peggy) Mobley, Jr.; sister, Marjorie Effler of San Clemente, CA.; sisters-in-law Mamie Sue Best of Maryville; Zula Rae Michaud of Brandenton, FL; several nieces and nephews. Honorary grandchildren, Danielle Mikels; Ashley Jordan; Johnathan Jordan; Joshua Jordan; Kayla Jordan; Susie Jordan Mikels. Many friends at Rocky Branch Community Center, with special thanks for the friendships of Ben and Janet Cooper and Mike and Peggy Mikels. The family would like to thank the Asbury Place Pallative Care medical staff and in particular, Mary Walker, ANP, for the excellent care rendered to our loved one. Additionally the family is appreciative of the extra time and care delivered by Sallie’s personal friend and surgeon, Melissa Trekell, M.D., and personal caregiver, Carolyn Parton. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Chaplain Mike Mikels officiating. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at McCammon- Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Mt.
