Ruth Perkins Miller

Ruth Perkins Miller- age 95 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was born March 27, 1914 to Sylvester and Mary Gibson Perkins in Elk Valley, TN. She worked as a beautician and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kingsport for over 50 years. She resided in Maryville for the past 23 years and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Guy Miller; parents, Sylvester and Mary Gibson Perkins; siblings, Bill Perkins and wife Horta, Ernest Perkins, Myrtle Heatherly and husband Melvin, Loise Perkins Holsopple; nephews, Jerry Perkins and Mark Holsopple. Survivors include: nephew and wife, Don and Shirley Heatherly; siblings, Marie Perkins Ellard, Carrie Brundick and husband, Aubrey; sister-in-law, Alma Perkins, brother-in-law, Herman Holsopple; nieces and nephews, Judy Beaty, Ernest Frances and Jim Perkins, Willa Mae Richardson, Bonnie Lou Prewitt, Linda Barnes, Lyndon and Bob Ellard, Sidney and Ann Miller Jr.; great nephew, John Beaty. The family will receive friends 12:00-1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life to follow at Sherwood Mausoleum with Rev.
