Ruth M. Kerr

Ruth M. Kerr, age 84 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Asbury Place. She as a member of Centenary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Rev. Press J. Kerr; parents, Wilburn and Stella Nichols; parents-in-law, Arthur and Ursa Kerr; sisters-in-law, Rue Mae and LeRoy Hair, Ruth and Leo Kerr; brothers-in-law, Edward Kerr, Lemuel Blair, Raymond and Gnez Kerr. Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Kerr) Roberts and husband Tony Roberts of Maryville; son, Don Kerr and wife Deborah of High Point, NC; grandchildren, Jeff Roberts and wife Megan of Knoxville, Jason Huskey and wife Amity of Smyrna, TN, Amanda Kerr Farmer and husband Eric of Winston Salem, NC, Scott Kerr and wife Sarah of Towson, MD; great grandchildren, Marcus Roberts, Tyler Huskey, Morgan Huskey; brother, Andrew Nichols and wife Faye of PA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Joyce Kerr, Deloris Blair, Anna L. Kerr, Mary and Johnny Shipwash, Mary Ruth Kerr. Special thanks to Asbury Nursing Home Staff and Blount Memorial Hospice. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Millsaps officiating. The interment will follow in Centenary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
