Ruth Leona Williams

January 29, 2006 WILLIAMS, RUTH LEONA CRUZE, age 90, of Lenoir City, a native of Neuberts Springs, Knox County and formerly of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away January 28, 2007 at Maryville Health Care Center. Mrs. Williams attended Greenback High School. She was a 50 year member of the Mary Blount #133 Order of the Eastern Star. In Coram, NY where she lived with her daughter, Joyce Leo, she was a member of the Red Hat Society’s chapter called the Red Hens of the North Shore. She attended Hickory Valley Bible Baptist Church in Friendsville. She was preceded in death by parents Robert and Alma Spangler Cruze; husband, Murray Samuel Williams; son, Robert Lowell Williams; sister, Margaret Smiley and brothers Austin and Winfred Robert Cruze. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Shirley Williams of Maryville; son, Joel Williams of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Donald Leo of Lenoir City; daughters Carolyn Williams of Greenback and Joanna McCall of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Michael, Mark and Rebecca Williams; Donald Leo, Jr and Diane Ruth Menorca; Stella Roxanne Purkey and Susan Bynum; Edward McCall IV, Lillie Lee Anne McCall and Samuel McCall; Gregory Williams, Hilary Burgin and Amanda Williams; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Homer Cruze of Tacoma Washington and life long friend Mary Charles Cheatham of Greenback. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday January 31, 2007 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. in McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Charles Carpenter officiating. A private interment will follow at the Williams Cemetery in Lenoir City. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hickory Valley Bible Baptist Church, 3920 W.
