Ruth L. Stooksbury

Stooksbury, Ruth L., age 85 of Maryville, passed away Monday, October 11, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Binfield United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Stooksbury; son, Ricous Stooksbury; great grandchildren, Gracie Ann Russell, and Ricky Browny; parents, George D., Sr. and Minnie Cunningham Carpenter; brothers, G. D., Lester, Ralph, Burley, Roscoe, Clifford and Fred; sisters, Elsia, Iva, French and Louies. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Rowena and Charles Ford of Friendsville, Phyllis and Jim England of Maryville; daughter, Janet O’Connor of Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Janie Stooksbury of Greenback; daughter-in-law, Nellie Stooksbury of GA; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Carpenter of Maryville and Louise Carpenter of SC; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Barbara and Sal Anisa of NJ; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Hokaj officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Union Grove Methodist Church Cemetery for the interment service with Rev. Charles Copeland officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
