Ruth King White

WHITE, Ruth King, age 81 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at Maryville Healthcare Center. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church where she had served as secretary for the Edith Goddard Sunday School Class since 1944, was past president of the Goddard Sunday School Class for two terms, was past vice president of Maryville First United Methodist Women and past secretary for the Methodist United Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Runa Samuel White; parents, Ephraim Alexander (E.A.) and D. Myrtle Peterson King; two brothers, Clyde Alexander and Sam Allen King. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and David Talley of Maryville and Judy and Fred Lawson of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Miranda Talley, Katie Talley, Micah Talley, Josie Rodriguez and husband Manuel and Jenna Lawson; two great grandchildren, Jazmine and Randon Rodriguez. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Maryville First United Methodist Church with Pastors Brenda and Larry Carroll and Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Friday at the Church.
