Ruth J. Mcclanahan

Ruth J. McClanahan - age 93 of Maryville was born July 10, 1914 passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was an Elementary School Teacher in Knoxville City Schools for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. McClanahan Sr. who worked for the U.S. Post Office;infant son, Michael McClanahan; brothers Sanford and Paul Jones; sister, Hazel Jones. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert D. McClanahan and wife Candice, son Sonny McClanahan; granddaughters, Cristy and Lea; long time care givers, Deborah Garner, Lori Smith, and Janie Norden. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amy Probst officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
