Ruth J. Krickler

January 21, 1923 — June 7, 2008

Krickler, Ruth Jessie, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 85, of Louisville, TN passed away peacefully Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Asbury Place. Ruth was a Christian who lived life to the fullest enjoying every moment. Ruth was born in Hayesville, NC, spending most of her life in Florida before retiring to TN in 1991 where she became very active in the Foothills Quilters’ Guild and Project Linus. She enjoyed a very active lifestyle and loved living in East TN with her family and many friends. Ruth is survived by her daughter Sue and her husband, Doug Ehly of Jacksonville, FL; her son Roger and Darlene Gorman of Derry, NH; granddaughter Kimberly Ehly of Fort Lauderdale, FL; grandson Jon and his wife, Billye Jo Ehly, great-grandchildren Jon, Shelby and Abigail Ehly; sisters Helen Forbes, Gilberta Woods of Louisville and Gladys Patton of Blairsville, GA; half-sister Daphne Lasley of Knoxville; caregiver and wonderful friend Joyce and her husband, Ray Karn who were so helpful during her declining health; nieces Brenda and her husband Don Johnson of Akron, OH, Maribeth and her husband, Jerry McHone of Charlotte, NC, Janice Roberts of Houston, TX and many other nieces and nephews; her ‘extended family’ of Nancy and Mike Seethaler, Sharon and Richard Graf all of Jacksonville, and Adina and Larry Sowle of Everett, WA; and dear friends, Ila Mae Norton of Maryville, Maetta Conrad of Greenback, Ann Rushing of Maryville, Delores Padgett of Louisville, Rosie Karn, Lansing, MI, and Wilma Jones, Granite Falls, NC. Ruth will forever be remembered, loved and missed by all whose lives she touched. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her parents, two brothers, four sisters and one-half brother. The family wishes to thank the Asbury Place staff who helped with their excellent care, kindness and love given to her.
