Rue French

French, Rue M., age 84 of Greenback, formerly of Kingston TN,. died Sunday, October 26, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Bakers Creek Presbyterian Church, he was a veteran of WWII having served in Pattons Third Army in the 813th Tank Destroyer Battalion, he was retired from TVA Kingston Steam Plant. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorotha Elizabeth Henry French, and brothers Jack, Turner, Kenneth, Gene, and Glenn French. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Peggy French of Greenback; daughter, Penny French of Knoxville; son, James French of Kingston; grandsons, William Rue French, and Joshua Alan French; sister, Mary Sue Ogle of Gatlinburg; sister-in-law, Kathleen French of New Market. The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Sabo officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Bakers Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery for a military graveside service and interment service.
