Ruby Lee Chasteen Burns

Ruby Lee Chasteen Burns passed through the Gates of Heaven May 17, 2018 in her home. She was a born again Christian, member of East Walland Missionary Baptist Church. She was born March 1, 1930. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde A. Burns Jr.; son, Gerald Patrick Burns; parents, Rufus and Hazel Chasteen; sisters, Betty Michaels, Linda Roddy, and Shirley Farr; brothers, Jimmy and Johnny Chasteen. Survived by children, Mike (Jane), Dennis (Edwina), Kelly (Pete Busto), Danny (Carol), Shannon (Matt Hogue); daughter-in-law Teresa Burns; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Chasteen; sister, Glenda Whitehead; special sister-in-law, Margaret Dunlap; special brother-in-law, Bill Farr; special niece, Sandra Wilson; special caregivers/granddaughters, Nikki, Mandy, Danyala and Haley. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at East Walland Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 2:00 with Rev. Greg Boring officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
