Roxie Jewell Scarbrough

SCARBROUGH, Roxie Jewell Cooper, age 95 of Maryville, died Tuesday, October 7, 2003, at the home of her son, Vernon Scarbrough, in Maryville. She was a member of the Nelson Chapel Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Scarbrough; parents, F. Pierce and Nancy Cooper; brothers, Estus Cooper, Farris Cooper and Clarris Cooper; sisters, Edith Golden and Velma Bumbalough. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon and Marye Scarbrough of Maryville, Ernest and Shirley Scarbrough of Nashville, TN, Elmer and Wanda Scarbrough of Seymour; grandchildren, Gerry Scarbrough and Pam Stephen of Seymour, Susan Pittman of Cookeville, Debbie Boling of Walland, Kay Merritt of Maryville, Roxanne Kirby of Athens, AL, Cathy Fletcher of Cordova, TN, Donna Jared of Conway, AR, Nancy Connelly of Antioch, TN, Ernie Scarbrough, Jr. of Inglewood, CA; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Vernon Scarbrough and Ernest Scarbrough officiating.
