Ronald W. Lohr, Sr.

LOHR Sr., Ronald W., of Maryville, TN, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from the United States Air Force and the TN Department of Employment Security. Ron was an avid golfer and enjoyed his daily walks. He grew up in Greensburg, PA, but had made East TN his home the past 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nellie Lohr; and his brothers, Ray, Glenn and Russell Lohr. They were all of the Greensburg, PA area. Those left to mourn his passing include his wife of 46 years, Joan Lohr; sons, Ronald Lohr, Jr. and wife Cecelia of Friendsville, TN, Kent Lohr and wife Sarah of Cary, NC, Paul L. “Ashley” Lohr of Maryville, TN; grandchildren, Evan, Meagan, Jon Lohr; siblings, Earl Lohr, Robert Lohr, Doris Hampton and Roger Lohr all of Greensburg, PA, Rolla Lohr and Nellie Pfeifer both of Norvelt, PA; also, included are his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. He was a friend and a mentor to many. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Dr. Mark Grubb officiating.
