Ronald G. Beatty, of Maryville, TN passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2012. He was born October 31, 1950 in Sheridan, Manitoba, Canada and moved to the U.S. in the mid 1950’s . He graduated from Medina High School, Class of 1968. He was proud to have served his country in the US Marine Corps 1969-1971 and was a Vietnam Vet. He loved his work as a carpenter for the last 38 years and was currently employed with Hickory Construction. Ron enjoyed golf and spent his leisure time admiring the Great Smoky Mountains from his rocking chair. He enjoyed spending time with his precious granddaughter, Morgan Beatty. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Roland “Buster” Beatty and Catherine (Cook) Beatty and a niece, Megan Galliher. Survivors include two sons, Travis Beatty, Raleigh NC and Jeremy Beatty, Medina ,NY; his fiancée, Denise Parada, Maryville, TN; two brothers, Scott Beatty, Plattsburgh, NY and Brian (GayAnne) Beatty, Loudon, TN; a sister, Donna (Jerry) Walters, Gillette, WY; granddaughter, Morgan Beatty, Raleigh, NC; he also had several nieces and nephews. A remembrance gathering will take place on Friday, March 2 at 5:00 pm at the American Legion, Maryville, TN. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11 am at the Presbyterian Church, Medina, NY.
