Ronald Esley Williams

Ronald Esley Williams, 80, of Friendsville, TN passed away peacefully on January 4, 2023, after a brief illness. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alcoa. Ronnie (aka Big Ron) was born on November 30, 1942, to parents Esley ad Marcella Fox Williams in Athens, TN. Ronnie was the oldest of six children. He was an avid fisherman and loved to golf. He served his community for many years as a Shoney’s manager. He loved his customers and Shoney’s family dearly.

Ronnie is survived by daughter, Teresa (Sissy) Sing and Robert Morgan; grandson, Carson and Brandi Forester; great-granddaughters, Audrina and Eleanor Forester; son, Brian Williams; brother, Marshall (Laurie) Williams; sister, Gayle (Bill) Glandon; many nieces, nephews, and family friends; special friend and caretaker, Lori Morton.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Edith Mourine Killion Williams; brothers, Alan and Tom Williams; sister, Judy Carpenter.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, January 6, 2022, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with the funeral at 7:00 PM with Rev. Greg Williamson officiating. The interment will be at 3:00 PM Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church.
